Objective: To investigate the anxiety and depression features in laryngopharyngeal reflux disease (LPRD).
Methods: A laryngologist and librarian conducted a PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane Library systematic review related to anxiety, depression, and mental health in LPRD through the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statements.
Results: Of the 96 identified studies, 22 publications met the inclusion criteria, accounting for 2162 patients with suspected LPRD (n = 1607), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD; n = 423), both LPRD and GERD (n = 132), and 926 healthy/asymptomatic individuals.

Leaflet thrombosis after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) presents a significant challenge, leading to adverse clinical outcomes. Subclinical leaflet thrombosis (SLT) is increasingly recognized, and there is a growing concern about its role in clinical events and hemodynamic valve deterioration. Current recommendations for prophylactic anticoagulation or antiplatelet therapy following TAVR are primarily based on expert consensus rather than definitive evidence from randomized trials, resulting in a variety of antithrombotic strategies in clinical practice.

Background: The aim of this study was to compare the mechanical properties of the polymer brackets with metal and ceramic brackets and verify if the polymer brackets could be used clinically.
Materials And Methods: A thorough search was conducted in four electronic databases, including Scopus, PubMed, Cochrane, Ovid, and Lilacs, with article selection based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis standards. A computerized search of the database was done from January 1990 to June 2024.

The present research examines the factors that contribute to a negative bias in how Americans imagine the future of their country. Specifically, we tested the effects of perceived country well-being, national identity (Study 1), and news coverage (Study 2) on Americans' collective future thinking. Study 1 was situated in a cross-cultural context, in which US and Chinese participants listed within 1 min as many exciting or worrying events as they could that might happen in their country's future and reported perceived country well-being and national identity.
