Surface Plasmon Polaritons (SPPs) and Localized Surface Plasmon Resonances (LSPRs) are fundamental phenomena in plasmonics that enable the confinement of electromagnetic waves beyond the diffraction limit. This confinement results in a significant enhancement of the electric field, making this phenomenon particularly beneficial for sensitive detection applications. However, conventional plasmonic sensors face several challenges, notably their difficulty in distinguishing chiral molecules, which are vital in drug development.

Objective: Advanced imaging methods are crucial for understanding stroke mechanisms and discovering effective treatments to reduce bleeding and enhance recovery. In pre-clinical in vivo stroke imaging, MRI, CT and optical imaging are commonly used to evaluate stroke outcomes in rodent models. However, MRI and CT have limited spatial resolution for rodent brains, and optical imaging is hindered by limited imaging depth of penetration.

Background: Variability in developmental care implementation in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) highlights the need to explore barriers to care delivery, yet few studies addressed these challenges.
Purpose: Drawing from NICU literature, this integrative review identifies barriers to implementing developmental care with premature infants.
Methods: A systematic search of CINAHL and PubMed (2014-2024) was conducted, yielding 2 qualitative and 5 quantitative studies.
