Background: Patients with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive breast cancer (BC) can be treated with endocrine therapy targeting ER, however, metastatic recurrence occurs in 25% of the patients who have initially been treated. Secreted proteins from tumors play important roles in cancer metastasis but previous methods for isolating secretory proteins had limitations in identifying novel targets.
Methods: We applied an in situ secretory protein labeling technique using TurboID to analyze secretome from tamoxifen-resistant (TAMR) BC.

This study assessed the effectiveness of adding leukocyte-poor platelet-rich plasma (PRP) during carpal tunnel release surgery for patients with moderate to severe carpal tunnel syndrome. In a randomized controlled trial, 70 patients were assigned to either standard carpal tunnel release (control group) or release with leukocyte-poor PRP applied to the median nerve (PRP group). Primary outcomes were measured using the Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire at 3 months, and secondary outcomes included pain, strength, sensation and electrodiagnostic examinations at multiple time points.

Accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) represents a valid option for adjuvant therapy of selected early breast cancer (BC). This single-institution prospective randomized study compares the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) between women treated with the highly conformal-external beam APBI technique and those with the more commonly used moderately hypofractionated whole breast irradiation (hypo-WBI). Eligible patients were women over 50 years with early BC (G1/2 DCIS ≤ 25 mm or G1/2 invasive non-lobular luminal-like HER2 negative carcinoma ≤ 20 mm) after breast-conserving surgery with negative margins.

Background: Shockwave therapy is an optional adjuvant treatment for vascular erectile dysfunction (ED). There is variability in treatment protocols and challenges with patients adherence to the weekly protocol, which is the most commonly used.
Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the noninferiority of a monthly shockwave therapy protocol compared to the weekly protocol for treating vascular ED.

Background: To investigate whether the antiPCSK9 vaccine can affect the CRP and oxidative stress (OS) during acute systemic inflammation.
Methods: Male albino mice were randomly divided into three groups: non-treated mice (the sham group), treated with a nonspecific stimulator of the immune response - Freund's complete adjuvant (CFA; the CFA group), and vaccinated mice treated with CFA (the vaccine group). The vaccine group was subcutaneously immunized with the antiPCSK9 formulation, 4 × in bi-weekly intervals.
