To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of spontaneous regression of squamous cell carcinoma within a lymph node. We speculate that prior dental infection, fever, and biopsy incited an antitumor immune reaction.

Background/objectives: Evidence suggests nasal airflow resistance reduces after rapid maxillary expansion (RME). However, the medium-term effects of RME on upper airway (UA) airflow characteristics when normal craniofacial development is considered are still unclear. This retrospective cohort study used computer fluid dynamics (CFD) to evaluate the medium-term changes in the UA airflow (pressure and velocity) after RME in two distinct age-based cohorts.

Spontaneous tumor regression is a recognized phenomenon across various cancer types. Recent research emphasizes the alterations in autoantibodies against carbonic anhydrase I (CA I) (anti-CA I) levels as potential prognostic markers for various malignancies. Particularly, autoantibodies targeting CA I and II appear to induce cellular damage by inhibiting their respective protein's catalytic functions.

Introduction: Antenatal corticosteroid (ACS) administration before anticipated preterm birth is one of the most important interventions available to improve neonatal outcomes. Nevertheless, this treatment is associated with an increased risk of neonatal hypoglycemia. The aim of this study was to determine whether preterm twins who receive ACS are at increased risk for developing neonatal hypoglycemia.

A Universal Strategy of Anti-Tumor mRNA Vaccine by Harnessing "Off-the-Shelf" Immunity.

Adv Sci (Weinh)

Personalized neoantigen cancer mRNA vaccines are promising candidates for precision medicine. However, the difficulty of identifying neoantigens heavily hinders their broad applicability. This study developed a universal strategy of anti-tumor mRNA vaccine by harnessing "off-the-shelf" immunity to known antigens.

Background: Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) has allowed patients with refractory out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) due to acute myocardial infarction (AMI) to receive primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI); they were previously ineligible.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to clarify the characteristics and outcomes of patients with OHCA secondary to AMI who underwent primary PCI during refractory cardiac arrest despite ECPR.

Methods: Patients with AMI and OHCA aged ≥18 years who underwent PCI with ECPR in 2013 to 2018 were identified from a multicenter ECPR registry in Japan.
