Nursing and the leading role of the user in the CAPS: a study from the constructionist perspective.

Objective: To analyze the actions of the Nursing team to promote the leading role of the patient in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center.

Method: A qualitative study, with reference to Social Constructionism. The study was conducted with 16 members of the Nursing team in two CAPS in the city of Rio de Janeiro from September 2017 to January 2018. The data collected from interviews and observation were organized in the Nvivo Software and the thematic content was analyzed.

Results: The study analyzed leading care. This is constructed through creative communication, networking and the perception of the Nursing team as an "antenna".

Final Considerations: The Nursing team does not reduce the users to the impossibilities of their psychiatric diagnoses, it uses creative communication and the construction of support networks in the territory. It constitutes itself as an antenna in care in psychosocial rehabilitation.

Background: The Sustainable Personalised Interventions for Cognition, Care, and Engagement (SPICE) program was developed to address an identified gap in access to high-quality integrated post-diagnostic rehabilitation for people with dementia and their care partners in Canberra, Australia. The multicomponent intervention aims to maximise quality of life (QoL) and independence of people with dementia by increasing engagement in everyday and meaningful activities and promoting care partners' physical and mental well-being.

Method: The SPICE program is a waiting-list study design delivered by a multidisciplinary allied health team over twelve weeks.

Background: To promote caregiver health and reduce burden, the Savvy Caregiver Program (SCP), an evidence-based caregiving intervention, was adapted with a Native Hawaiian (NH) community in Hawai'i. The adaptation process occurred prior to pilot testing in two phases: 1) the preliminary adaptation by a community action board (CAB) and mentorship team and 2) pre-pilot testing and expert validation with NH adults. The preliminary adaptation, titled 'Auamo Kuleana O Nā Ma'i Poina ('Auamo Kuleana), aimed to include Hawaiian values, language, proverbs, and culturally relevant examples while maintaining the core components of the program.
