Unlabelled: Mycobacterial cell envelopes are rich in unusual lipids and glycans that play key roles during infection and vaccination. The most abundant envelope glycolipid is trehalose dimycolate (TDM). TDM compromises the host response to mycobacterial species via multiple mechanisms, including inhibition of phagosome maturation.

A rare complication is posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), characterized by subcortical vasogenic cerebral edema associated with variable neurological symptoms. The development of autoimmune hemolytic anemia is an atypical clinical presentation.

Introduction Hemodialysis (HD) therapy is a crucial treatment for patients with renal failure but can impact the hemodynamics of antithrombin (AT), a protein essential for regulating hemostasis and preventing thrombosis. Reduced AT activity can lead to thrombus formation at unusual sites and increase the risk of recurrent venous thromboembolism. The loss of AT during HD or hemodiafiltration (HDF) through leakage or adsorption onto dialysis membranes has not been fully investigated, and its effects on AT hemodynamics remain unclear.

fusion is one of the classes of emerging therapeutic targets of precision oncology and is observed in many solid tumor types. Our understanding of oncogenic mechanisms and therapy effects of molecular targets tends to reflect those occurring in overrepresented tumor types, posing a challenge in therapy planning of the same targets occurring in unusual tumor types. We present a case of a primary high-grade serous tubo-ovarian carcinoma with a novel fusion, an exceedingly rare combination of tumor type and fusion class, with an unusually short-lived response to futibatinib.

Histone deacetylase (HDAC)-6 has overwhelming implications in multiple cancers and neurodegenerative disorders. Unusual HDAC6 expression modulates various signalling mechanisms which in turn forms the aetiology of the above-mentioned disorders. Thus, restoring the typical activity of HDAC6 through small molecules may prove as a promising approach to beat these disorders.
