Background: Exogenous foreign body aspiration is a common high-risk condition in children. In a few cases, foreign body aspiration can lead to airway granulomas that interfere with tracheoscopic foreign body removal and threaten the life of the child.

Methods: This study was a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 184 pediatric patients who were admitted to Quanzhou Children's Hospital from 2018 to 2021 with exogenous tracheobronchial foreign bodies.

Autoimmune diseases are characterized by dysregulated immune responses and chronic inflammation. B cell activating factor (BAFF) and interleukin-17 (IL-17) are key mediators in the pathogenesis of several autoimmune diseases, driving B cell hyperactivation, autoantibody production, and tissue damage. Simultaneous targeting of these pathways may provide a synergistic therapeutic approach.

Angelicin Inhibits NSCLC Tumor Growth via the Inhibition of Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts.

Comb Chem High Throughput Screen

January 2025

Biomedical Sciences College & Shandong Medicinal Biotechnology Centre, Shandong First Medical University & Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences, Jinan, China.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of angelicin on the NSCLC tumor growth.

Background: Accumulating evidence shows that cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) play an important role in tumor progression and metastasis, making CAFs an increasingly attractive target for therapeutic intervention. Targeted therapies against CAFs have been considered to have the potential to significantly improve cancer treatment outcomes, overcome resistance, and improve immune evasion.

Atractylenolide I (ATL-I) can interfere with Colorectal cancer (CRC) cell proliferation by changing apoptosis, glucose metabolism and other behaviors, making it an effective drug for inhibiting CRC tumor growth. In this paper, we investigated the interactions between ATL-I and Keratin 7 (KRT7), a CRC-specific marker, to determine the potential pathways by which ATL-I inhibits CRC development. The KRT7 expression level in CRC was predicted online using the GEPIA website and then validated.

Background: Immunoglobulin replacement therapy (IgRT) is the current standard of care for primary antibody deficiency patients (majority of all primary immunodeficiency (PID) diseases), with growing real-world evidence supporting use for secondary immunodeficiency (SID) patients. Infusion methods and practices can affect patients' satisfaction with their treatment and perception of their health-related quality of life.

Methods: An online survey of US patients with PID and SID was conducted.
