Injuries sustained in motorcycle collisions can be organized into distinct patterns to improve recognition and treatment.Lowside, highside, topside, and collision are the four main categories of motorcycle crash types.Within those four crash types, mechanisms of injury include head-leading collisions, direct vertical impact, motorcycle radius, motorcycle thumb, fuel tank injures, limb entrapment, tyre-spoke injury, and crash modifying manoeuvre. Major depressive disorder (MDD) is usually considered associate with immune inflammation and synaptic injury within specific brain regions. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the neural deterioration resulting in depression remain unclear. Here, it is found that miR-204-5p is markedly downregulated in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) in a chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) induce rat model of depression.

Background: Bushen-Huoxue-Mingmu-Formula (MMF) has achieved definite clinical efficacy. However, its mechanism is still unclear.
Objective: Investigating the molecular mechanism of MMF to protect retinal ganglion cells (RGCs).
Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI) constitutes a significant etiology of exacerbated cerebral tissue damage subsequent to intravenous thrombolysis and endovascular mechanical thrombectomy in patients diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke. The treatment of CIRI has been extensively investigated through a multitude of clinical studies. Acupuncture has been demonstrated to be effective in treating CIRI.

Background: Subacromial impingement syndrome (SIS) is a common cause of shoulder pain and dysfunction. Modified posterior shoulder stretching exercises have been proposed as a treatment method aimed at improving shoulder function and reducing pain in patients with SIS. However, the efficacy of these exercises remains controversial, necessitating a systematic meta-analysis to comprehensively evaluate their effectiveness.

Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is a persistent pollutant that has gained worldwide attention, owing to its widespread presence in the environment. Previous studies have reported that PFOA upregulates lipid metabolism and is associated with liver injury in humans. However, when the fatty acid degradation pathway is activated, lipid accumulation still occurs, suggesting the presence of unknown pathways and mechanisms that remain to be elucidated.
