Introduction: (MG) infection is a primary cause of chronic respiratory disease in poultry, threatening the economic viability of China's goose-farming industry. This study investigated the pathogenicity and drug resistance of an MG strain isolated from geese and whole-genome sequenced the strain.

Introduction: Successful retrieval of from porcine clinical specimens has been rarely described, and data has only been obtained from a few swine-producing countries. For Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) infection in schools, the local Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends nonpharmaceutical interventions, such as case isolation, school closures, suspension of group activities, reinforcement of ventilation and disinfection for influenza outbreaks. However, there is limited evidence supporting and evaluating the effectiveness of these interventions. On the basis of an outbreak of MP infection occurring in a primary school in Zhejiang Province, a susceptible-latent-overt infected-recessive infected-displaced (SEIAR) model was constructed to quantitatively evaluate the prevention and control effects by simulating the intervention measures mentioned above.

A 30-year-old male patient with symptomatic Mycoplasma genitalium urethritis failed treatment with oral azithromycin, 2-stage doxycycline-moxifloxacin, and minocycline. Molecular testing confirmed the presence of macrolide resistance mutations. Treatment with oral tinidazole 2 g daily for 7 days resulted in clinical and microbiologic cure.
