Robotic surgical procedures have been implemented and have become an important development in pancreatic surgery with an increasing acceptance worldwide. Nearly all types of pancreatic surgery have now been performed robotically and especially standardized resections, such as distal pancreatectomy (RDP) and partial pancreatoduodenectomy (RPD) have gained importance despite a potentially long learning curve and high associated procedural costs. The present review article summarizes the available literature and evidence on the respective procedures focused on their use for indications of malignancy.

Aim: While most splenic ruptures manifest as immediate hemorrhage, a minority of patients experience delayed rupture, which occurs days to weeks after the initial trauma. Although there have been reports of delayed splenic rupture following trauma, the exact pathophysiology of this condition and the appropriate treatment remain contentious. This article aims to further discuss and summarize the diagnosis and treatment protocols for delayed traumatic rupture of the spleen through the collection and analysis of existing clinical data, combined with previous literature.

The Hedgehog Signaling Pathway plays an important role in cancer development and chemotherapy resistance. However, whether the pathway functions depend on the metabolic reprogramming of cancer cells has not been well studied. In this study, we found that the expression level of Gli1, a key transcription factor downstream of the Hedgehog Signaling Pathway, is significantly increased in patients with pancreatic cancer resistant to gemcitabine neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

To enhance immunotherapy efficacy in pancreatic cancer, it is crucial to characterize its immune landscape and identify key factors driving immune alterations. To achieve this, we quantitatively analyzed the immune microenvironment using multiplex immunohistochemistry, assessing the spatial relationships between immune and tumor cells to correlate with patient survival rates and oncological factors. Additionally, through Whole Exome Sequencing analysis based on public data, we explored genetic mutations that could drive these compositions.

The centrosome is essential for maintaining cell shape and facilitating cell division. Thus, precise control of centrosome copy numbers is crucial for proper chromosome segregation. Pericentriolar material 1 (PCM1) is a scaffold component of centriolar satellites-electron-dense granules dispersed around the centrosome-that regulate the centrosome or primary cilia.
