Chylothorax-the collection of lymphatic fluid in the pleural space-is a rare finding in otherwise healthy adolescents. Initially, clinical signs and symptoms are often non-specific and a wide range of underlying causes necessitates extensive diagnostic workup. Treatment options include dietary measures, medical treatment, and various surgical procedures. We report about a 12-year-old boy with accidental diagnosis of chylothorax. Lymphatic imaging led to visualization of a leakage of an accessory left-sided thoracic duct and thoracoscopic clipping was successfully performed. Lymphatic imaging procedures depict underlying causes of chylothorax allowing targeted therapeutic management.

This case report describes a rare case of bi-phenotypic gastric cancer with two distinct, but clonally related, histological components. The first component, associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection, exhibited the morphological features of gastric carcinoma with lymphoid stroma, suggesting that EBV, as an effective immunogenic factor, may trigger a prominent immune response within the tumour microenvironment. The second component, which was EBV-negative, displayed tubular/papillary morphology and features of increased biological aggressiveness, such as high-grade areas and lymphatic invasion.

Background: Petersen's hernia occurring through the epiploic foramen of the greater omentum, is an uncommon type of internal hernia. When it presents with complications such as chylous ascites, which is the lymphatic fluid accumulation in the abdominal cavity, it is particularly rare. Following laparoscopic total gastrectomy and Roux-en-Y anastomosis, the incidence of this condition is exceedingly low.

Lymph node sampling with endoscopic ultrasound fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) may affect treatment options for biliary tract cancers. Our aim is to clarify its utility and clinical significance and the factors associated with FNA cytology positivity. Seventy-one consecutive patients with biliary tract cancer who underwent EUS-FNA to diagnose lymphadenopathies from April 2012 to July 2021 were enrolled retrospectively.

Background: Cholangiocarcinoma is a challenging malignancy with limited responses to conventional therapies, particularly immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy. Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) and tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) are key components of the tumor microenvironment (TME) and have been implicated in the immune response to cancer. However, the role and difference of TLSs and TILs in patients with cholangiocarcinoma remains unclear.

Objectives: This study aims to develop a nomogram to predict high-volume (> 5) lymph node metastases (HVLNM) in papillary thyroid carcinoma concomitant with Hashimoto's thyroiditis by combining ultrasound with clinicopathologic data.
Materials And Methods: The study reviewed 187 patients diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) concomitant with Hashimoto's thyroiditis from the First People's Hospital of Kunshan between March 2018 and December 2022. These patients underwent preoperative ultrasound and postoperative examinations.
