Background: The number of reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) procedures performed worldwide has increased over the last 10 years, with a corresponding increase in revision shoulder arthroplasty (SRSA). SRSA is often used for post-traumatic revision surgery in cases of infections and failure of anatomical prostheses. Data on outcomes with specific detail for each indication for the prosthetic solution as a secondary treatment are scarce, and inhomogeneous.

Studies have shown the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in the stool of both symptomatic and asymptomatic COVID-19 patients, enabling wastewater-based surveillance (WBS) to complement clinical monitoring. The emergence of variants can enhance viral transmissibility, highlighting the need for ongoing surveillance to detect and control infectious diseases. This study aimed to detect SARS-CoV-2 variants in wastewater from a treatment plant in San Pedro de la Paz, Chile, between January and November 2021.

Adenosin triphosphate (ATP)-dependent nucleosome remodeling factors sculpt the nucleosomal landscape of eukaryotic chromatin. They deposit, evict, or reposition nucleosomes along DNA in a process termed nucleosome sliding. Remodeling has traditionally been analyzed using mononucleosomes as a model substrate.

It is generally accepted that a weakening of the North Atlantic thermohaline circulation caused the Younger Dryas cooling. Although the role of seasonality was emphasized previously, this aspect is rarely considered yet, and it remains elusive how this impacted hydroclimate during winters and summers across Central Europe. Here, we coupled biomarker-based δO and δH from Bergsee in southern Germany to reconstruct deuterium excess as a proxy for evaporation history from the Bølling-Allerød to the Preboreal.
