Primary myelofibrosis (PMF) is a disease that affects the bone marrow. It presents with cytopenias, hepatospleomegaly accompanied with extramedullary hematopoiesis, and often with constitutional symptoms. Cytotoxic gamma-delta T-cells are considered a distinct hepatosplenic lymohoma. This is a case presentation of a 43-year-old male with an initial diagnosis of PMF who underwent allogeneic stem cell transplantation complicated by primary graft failure. He subsequently underwent a partial splenic embolization; however, he quickly developed a fulminant hepatosplenic gamma-delta T-cell lymphoma which led to his death that was diagnosed posthumously. PMF has been known to transform into an acute myeloid leukemia, but there has been no established link with gamma-delta T-cell lymphoma.

Oat beta-glucans (OBGs) are known for their beneficial effects on gut health, including anti-inflammatory and prebiotic effects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of two doses (1% or 3% /) of dietary low-molar-mass OBG supplementation on colorectal cancer (CRC) development, immune cell profiles, intestinal barrier protein expression, and microbiota composition in a rat model of CRC induced by azoxymethane (AOM). Microbiome analysis revealed significant differences between the control and CRC groups.

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a potent endotoxin released at high concentrations in acute infections, causing massive host inflammatory response. Accumulating evidence indicates that dysbiosis-associated chronic low levels of circulating LPS can sustain a prolonged sterile low-grade inflammation that increases the risk of several non-communicable diseases. Interventions aimed at increasing the abundance of beneficial/probiotic bacteria, including , result in reduced inflammation, favoring metabolic and immune health.

Traditional immunotherapies mainly focus on αβ T cell-based strategies, which depend on MHC-mediated antigen recognition. However, this approach poses significant challenges in treating recurrent tumors, as immune escape mechanisms are widespread. γδ T cells, with their ability for MHC-independent antigen presentation, offer a promising alternative that could potentially overcome limitations observed in traditional immunotherapies.

The T-cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 complex plays an essential role in the immune response and is a key player in cancer immunotherapies. There are two classes of TCR/CD3 complexes, defined by their TCR chain usage (αβ or γδ). Recently reported structures have revealed the organization of the αβ TCR/CD3 complex, but similar studies regarding the γδ TCR/CD3 complex have lagged behind.

Background: γδT cells have been implicated in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. The study aims to investigate the abundance of γδT cells in MRL/lpr mice.
Methods: MRL/lpr mice were used as lupus models, while C3H/HeJ mice served as normal controls.
