The article presents an algorithm for perioperative nutritional support of surgical patients operated on as planned. Today, planned surgical care is provided in accordance with the canons of the accelerated rehabilitation Program (ARP). The relevance of the problem of nutritional insufficiency, which is an important component of ARP, is due to the dependence of the results of surgical treatment on the initial nutritional status of the patient. Methods of screening for nutritional deficiency and options for correcting protein-energy disorders are described. The predominant method is the enteral delivery of nutrients and energy. Oral supplemental nutrition by sipping is a convenient way to correct nutritional disorders at all stages of the perioperative period.

Global food production predominantly depends on a limited number of cereal crops; however, numerous other crops have the potential to support the nutrition and economy of many local communities in developing countries. The different crop species characterized as having relatively low perceived economic importance or agricultural significance are known as underutilized crops. Millet is one of the underutilized crops with significant potential to address nutrient and hunger-related challenges in many developing countries like Nepal due to its versatility and climate resilience.

Objectives: Critically ill newborn infants often require simultaneous administration of multiple intravenous (IV) solutions through the same catheter lumen, making compatibility of these solutions crucial in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). This study aimed to investigate the physical compatibility of insulin aspart, lidocaine, alprostadil and vancomycin with individualised two-in-one parenteral nutrition (PN).
Methods: The study was conducted at the hospital pharmacy's drug compounding facility of the University Medical Centre Utrecht.

The increasingly complex health care systems, the large and diverse population to whom nutritional therapy is addressed, and the need of specialized health care professionals implies an organizational strategy to be defined. The organization of nutritional care is a fundamental strategy to promote an optimal, quality and safety nutritional therapy. This is why, the organization of nutritional care should be based on 4 principles, including: Nutritional care should be considered as a process, a multidisciplinary approach is essential to a good nutritional care, the economic approach and the patient centered approach are essential to the organization of nutritional care.

The widespread commercialization of genetically modified (GM) crops makes it important to assess the potential impact of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) on non-target organisms. Pardosa astrigera is an important predator in agroforestry ecosystems, and female and male spiders may react differently to Bt toxins due to their different activity habits and nutritional requirements. In this study, we found that exposure to Cry2Aa protein did not affect the survival and body weight of P.

Previous studies suggest that early-life stress (ELS) induced by early maternal separation and isolation (MS) stress during the stress hyporesponsive period (SHRP) leads to increased curiosity-like and increased risky decision-making behaviour in adolescence. Evidence suggests that dietary interventions early in adolescence could play an important role in mitigating the detrimental effects of MS stress on risky decision-making behaviour. Hence, the present study hypothesized that nutritional supplements such as saturated fat (SFA) and/or polyunsaturated fat (PUFA) would be beneficial in ameliorating the impact of MS stress on risky decision-making behaviour when incorporated into the diet during early adolescence.
