This study evaluated associations between similarity in personal values, accuracy of values perceptions, and relationship closeness among emerging adults and their mothers (dyads = 99). Contrary to previous studies, values similarity and accuracy were largely unrelated to relationship closeness. This was reinforced by Latent Profile Analysis (LPA), which revealed three unique patterns of values similarity, values accuracy, and closeness between emerging adults and mothers: 1) high relationship closeness, similar values and accurate perceptions; 2) moderate relationship closeness, dissimilar values and inaccurate perceptions; and 3) low relationship closeness but similar values and accurate perceptions. Subsequent analyses revealed different implications for emerging adults' wellbeing from different profiles. Emerging adults from the subgroup with low relationship closeness but high values similarity and values accuracy had more problematic drinking behaviors than the other profiles and lower positive affect.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors in the world, and its occurrence and development are closely related to the complex immune regulatory mechanisms. As the first barrier of the body's defense, innate immunity plays a key role in tumor immune surveillance and anti-tumor response, in which type I/III interferon (IFN) is an important mediator with significant antiviral and anti-tumor functions. 5-methylcytosine (m5C) modification of RNA is a key epigenetic regulation that promotes the expression of CRC oncogenes and immune-related genes.

Obesity is a rapidly growing health problem worldwide, affecting both adults and children and increasing the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease (CVD). In addition, obesity is closely linked to chronic kidney disease (CKD) by either exacerbating diabetic complications or directly causing kidney damage. Obesity-related CKD is characterized by proteinuria, lipid accumulation, fibrosis and glomerulosclerosis, which can gradually impair kidney function.

Cardiac stereotactic body radiotherapy is a promising noninvasive treatment for patients with refractory ventricular tachycardia. With the aim to prove feasibility of a novel image guided radiotherapy and heart motion gating device, cardiac proton radiotherapy was performed using a porcine model. Using a novel adaptation of γ - H2AX tissue staining techniques, we have been able to localize a radiation beam in large animal tissue to assess targeting accuracy within a defined field.

Introduction According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death globally, accounting for approximately 17 million deaths annually, with sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) as a significant contributor to this alarming statistic. SCA, the abrupt loss of heart function, is a critical medical emergency that requires early recognition and immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for the effective resuscitation of victims. Various studies have shown a low level of knowledge regarding CPR in the community.

Numerous studies have shown that hyperlipidaemia is closely related to the gut microbiota, and the study of microbiota in the treatment of hyperlipidaemia is undoubtedly a new target for the treatment and prevention of hyperlipidaemia. The efficacy of regulating the gut microecology and changing the structure of gut flora has been demonstrated by both western and traditional medication, biological therapy, and dietary exercise, so it is particularly important to study the relationship between gut microbiota and the treatment of hyperlipidaemia. In this review, we summarize the mechanism and relationship between the pathogenesis of hyperlipidaemia and gut microbiota, and the mechanism of hyperlipidaemia treatment by influencing the gut microbiota in various treatment modalities, which provides diversified therapeutic ideas and scientific basis for clinical treatment.
