Background: Many vascular anomalies harbor postzygotic somatic variants in GNAQ and GNA11; however, the phenotype of specific G-protein variants has not been well described. We report the clinical characteristics of 17 patients with a GNA11 R183C variant.
Methods: This case series is derived from a multinational cohort of vascular anomaly patients whose pathogenic mutations were identified using high-depth next generation sequencing.

This case report documents a rare presentation of eyebrow bleeding occurring during migraine episodes in a 10-year-old girl, highlighting atypical signs associated with the disorder. Despite her normal neurological examinations and imaging studies, the patient experienced recurrent, severe headaches accompanied by localized bleeding and red spots on the forehead. This unusual symptomatology suggests potential underlying neurovascular and neuroinflammatory mechanisms, necessitating heightened awareness among healthcare providers.

Granuloma faciale is a benign and rare skin disease, which usually presents as well-defined red-purple asymptomatic plaques or nodules on the face but can also present extra-facially. It poses a significant therapeutic challenge, with varying degrees of success reported by a range of medical and surgical treatments. We describe a 41-year-old lady with biopsy-confirmed facial granuloma faciale, affecting her nose, cheeks, upper lip, and forehead, who had failed a variety of medical treatments, UVB phototherapy, and pulsed dye laser.

Bilirubin is a product of the metabolism of hemoglobin from red blood cells. Higher levels of bilirubin are a sign that either there is an unusual breaking down rate of red blood cells or the liver is not able to eliminate bilirubin, through bile, into the gastrointestinal tract. For adults, bilirubin is occasionally monitored through urine or invasive blood sampling, whilst all newborns are routinely monitored visually, or non-invasively with transcutaneous measurements (TcBs), due to their biological immaturity to conjugate bilirubin.
