Context: Specialty palliative care remains inaccessible for many with serious illness, especially in rural areas. Telehealth may be one solution.
Objectives: To describe how telehealth increases access to specialty palliative care, describe facilitators and barriers to its use, and summarize evidence of patient benefits.

Background: Timely diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in Alzheimer's disease (AD) is crucial for early interventions, but its implementation is often challenging due to the complexity and time burden of required cognitive assessments. Remote unsupervised self-testing of cognition can potentially addres this health care challenge. We conducted the to date largest evaluation of feasibility and experienced added value of unsupervised digital remote assessment in primary and specialized health care in Germany.

Background: Remote administration of well-established neuropsychological instruments (TeleNeuropsychological or TeleNP) can reduce assessment wait times and expand access to cognitive assessments for medically compromised and socially disadvantaged patients. A major limitation in the widespread uptake of TeleNP relates to the need for more normative data compared to in-person assessments. This presentation describes a novel ascertainment strategy used in Florida's Older Adults TeleNeuropsychology (FLOAT) project to identify and recruit "cognitively healthy" older adults to norm well-established neuropsychological instruments administered remotely.

Introduction: Telemedicine is a health service that provides diagnosis, treatment evaluation, preventive medicine by using information and communication technologies between distant locations and aims to improve the health of the individuals and society. Social restrictions were applied during the pandemic process caused by coronavirus disease-2019 due to the virus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 which emerged in late 2019. Through remote communication and information technologies in the followup of asthma patients, there is a need for studies on the effectiveness of using telemedicine methods was seen.
