Background: Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) has a high risk of poor outcomes. We aimed to compare the outcomes of lower extremity revascularization in patients with CLTI stratified by CKD severity in patients enrolled in the prospective, randomized Best Endovascular vs Best Surgical Therapy in Patients with CLTI (BEST-CLI) trial.
Methods: The BEST-CLI trial dataset was queried to categorize patients into three groups according to CKD stage.
Background And Aim: Cerebral malaria in Gambian children has been studied but there is limited information on CM in adults. The study assesses the clinical features and outcome of CM in adult patients admitted at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital.
Method: This was a retrospective review of all adult patients with malaria admitted to the internal medicine department from October 18, 2020 to February 2, 2022.

Introduction: A common complication of arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is thrombosis in the venous segment, which can impair vascular access unless a successful thrombectomy is performed.
Case Presentation: In this manuscript, we describe the case of a diabetic patient who had primary AVF in a snuff-box with subsequent superficialization of the medial vein of the forearm. Unfortunately, this section of the vein was occluded, although the fistula was patent through the cephalic vein (CV).

Exit-site infections (ESIs) of peritoneal dialysis catheters can cause serious complications if not promptly treated. Uncommon pathogens like are infrequently associated with these infections. We report a 26-year-old woman with end-stage renal disease due to Alport syndrome, presenting with recurrent purulent discharge and erythema at the Tenckhoff catheter exit site.

Introduction: We sought to construct a simple clinical mortality prediction model in trauma patients that required pre-injury hemodialysis: Hemodialysis Outcomes Score in Trauma (HOST).
Methods: Trauma patients on pre-injury hemodialysis admitted between July 2013 to December 2021 were reviewed. Univariate and multivariable analysis was used to determine independent predictors of mortality and construct the HOST score.
