The detection and excision of colorectal polyps, precursors to colorectal cancer (CRC), can improve survival rates by up to 90%. Automated polyp segmentation in colonoscopy images expedites diagnosis and aids in the precise identification of adenomatous polyps, thus mitigating the burden of manual image analysis. This study introduces FocusUNet, an innovative bi-level nested U-structure integrated with a dual-attention mechanism.

In coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) on pump, achieving optimal visualization is critical for surgical precision and safety. The use of blowers to clear the CABG anastomosis poses risks, including the formation of micro-embolic gas bubbles, which can be insidious and increase the risk of cerebral or myocardial complications. This retrospective study compares the effectiveness of the use of irrigation mist and CO versus a direct CO blower without irrigation in terms of visualization, postoperative fibrillation, and micro-embolic gas activity.

The oil mist particles cyclically emitted during the cutting process are a serious health hazard for workers in machine plants. Affected by emission parameters and seasonal factors, the dynamic distribution of oil mist particles in the workers' breathing zone is not yet clear, and suitable ventilation optimization is yet to be proposed. This paper investigates the dynamic distribution of oil mist particles in the workers' breathing zone and ventilation optimization by numerical simulation.
