One new xanthone, chryxanthone C (), together with four known analogues (-), were isolated from the cultures of sp. TE-540, an endophytic fungus obtained from the leaves of L. The structure of was elucidated by comprehensive spectral analysis including HRESIMS and 1D/2D NMR, which were confirmed by Cu Kα X-ray crystallography. Compound featured an unusual dihydropyran ring fused to an aromatic ring, rather than the commonly occurring prenyl moiety. The cytotoxicity of compounds - were evaluated against five human tumour cell lines and exhibited moderate to strong cytotoxicities with IC values ranging from 5.6 to 14.2 µM.

The endophytic fungus Serendipita indica (Si) could suppress Phoma arachidicola (Pa) and control peanut web blotch disease. The study evaluated its growth-promoting and disease-resistant effects in two peanut cultivars, Luhua11 and Baisha1016. In vitro experiments and microscopy analysis demonstrated that S.

Researchers have reported that Bacillus megaterium BM18-2 reduces Cd toxicity in Hybrid Pennisetum, but understanding the interaction between plants and associated endophytes is crucial for understanding phytoremediation strategies under heavy metal stress. The current study aims to monitor the colonization patterns of GFP-labeled endophytic bacteria BM18-2 on Hybrid Pennisetum grass. Additionally, it will monitor Cd's effect on plant bacterial colonization.

Aim: Bacillus subtilis is usually found in soil, and their biocontrol and plant growth promoting capabilities are being explored more recently than ever. However, knowledge about metabolite production and genome composition of endophytic Bacillus subtilis from seeds is limited. In the present study, Bacillus subtilis EVCu15 strain isolated from the seeds of Vasconcellea cundinamarcensis (mountain papaya) was subjected to whole genome sequencing, and detailed molecular and functional characterization.

Introduction: The exploration of new bioactive compounds for agricultural applications is critical for sustainable development. Endophytic fungi, particularly those from underexplored biomes in Brazil, represent a promising source of natural compounds. This study focused on isolation and bioprospecting endophytic fungi from the medicinal plant (Pohl), grown in Serra do Amolar (Brazilian Pantanal Biome), with an additional emphasis on conserving microbial biodiversity.
