Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics of deciduous fused teeth and their inherited permanent-tooth performance type by using panoramic radiographs.
Methods: A total of 14 404 panoramic radiographs of 3- to 6-year-old children with deciduous dentition were collected from January 2023 to July 2024. The incidence of deciduous fused teeth was observed, and the abnormality of permanent teeth was recorded.

Background: Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is a rare neurogenetic disorder with limited treatment options. Selumetinib, a MEK1/2 inhibitor, has emerged as a promising therapy for inoperable NF1-related plexiform neurofibromas.
Methods: Our retrospective pharmacovigilance study utilized the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) to comprehensively evaluate Selumetinib's safety profile in real-world settings.

Objective: To retrospectively assess the outcomes of open-heart repair for ventricular septal defect in children using a right vertical axillary incision compared to median sternotomy.
Method: From January 2022 to May 2023, children who underwent open-heart surgery for the repair of congenital ventricular septal defect in our department were selected for a propensity score-matched study. The propensity score matching method was utilized to pair children in the right vertical axillary incision group with those undergoing surgery via median sternotomy at a 1:1 ratio, based on age and weight.

Vascularized composite allograft (VCA) transplantation represents a significant advancement in reconstructive surgery and offers hope to individuals who experienced congenital disorders or severe tissue injuries to restore physical appearance, function, and enhance quality of life. VCA recovery introduces complexities to conventional solid organ recovery, and there remain concerns regarding the potential impact of VCA recovery on non-VCA organs for transplant. The current retrospective study examines deceased donor characteristics and observed-to-expected (O/E) organ yield ratios for 51 VCA donors recovered in the US between July 4, 2014 and March 31, 2024, compared with a contemporary cohort of non-VCA donors recovered in 2023.
