In this study, we will report on the synthesis and application of efficient botanical agrochemicals from turpentine for sustainable crop protection. Two series of turpentine derived secondary amines were synthesized and identified by FT-IR, H NMR, C NMR, and HRMS. The herbicidal activities against were evaluated. The potential toxicity of the synthesized compounds was tested by MTT cytotoxicity analysis. The effect of structure of the synthesized secondary amines and corresponding Schiff base compounds on their activities was investigated by quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) study. All target products were found to be low toxicity, with similar or higher herbicidal activities than commercial herbicides diuron and Glyphosate. Results of QSAR study showed that a best four-descriptor QSAR model with of 0.880 and of 0.818 was obtained. The four descriptors most relevant to the herbicidal activities are , , , and .

With the widespread use of lidocaine for pain control in cancer therapy, its antitumor activity has attracted considerable attention in recent years. This paper provides a simple strategy of combining lidocaine with chemotherapy drugs for cancer therapy, aiming to relieve chemotherapy-induced pain and achieve stronger antitumor efficacy. However, there is still a lack of substantial pre-clinical evidence for the efficacy and related mechanisms of such combinations, obstructing their potential clinical application.

: Early-onset breast cancer (EOBC), particularly in patients under 40, presents with distinct biological characteristics and worse survival outcomes compared to late-onset cases. Despite intensive treatments, EOBC patients, especially those with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative (HR+/HER2-) subtypes, show poorer prognosis. CDK4/6 inhibitors, combined with endocrine therapy (ET) have become the standard for HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer, yet younger patients are underrepresented in clinical trials.

Background: The role of beta-blockers in severe, traumatic brain injury (TBI) management is debated. Severe TBI may elicit a surge of catecholamines, which has been associated with increased morbidity and mortality. We hypothesize administering propranolol, a non-selective beta-blocker, within 48 h of TBI will reduce patient mortality within 30 days of injury.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of adding epidural dexmedetomidine to low-concentration patient-controlled epidural analgesia (PCEA) on pain control and side effects in total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
Methods: In this double-blind study, American Society of Anesthesiologists I to II patients undergoing TKA were assigned to receive 0.125% bupivacaine + fentanyl 4 µg/mL (group R) or 0.

An analytical method was developed for the determination of cyazofamid (CZFM) and its metabolite CCIM in rice, employing magnetic zirconia nanoparticles (MZNPs) for sample cleanup. MZNPs were synthesized through a one-step hydrothermal process and characterized by multiple techniques. Samples of rice plant, rice hull, and brown rice were extracted using acetonitrile/water, followed by salting out.
