Monoclonal anti-peroxidase antibodies (McAb) were generated by means of hybridization of BALB/c immune splenocytes with X-63.653 cells. Peroxidase-antiperoxidase (PAP) staining of fibroblast cultures with murine McAb against fibronectin was used for the detection of positive cultures. McAb AP-FC-2B4 were found to be highly efficient in different immunoenzyme tests, e.g., immunochemistry and immunoblotting. PAP method was used for histological diagnosis of invasive human breast cancer.

The continued evolution of SARS-CoV-2 variants capable of subverting vaccine and infection-induced immunity suggests the advantage of a broadly protective vaccine against betacoronaviruses (β-CoVs). Recent studies have isolated monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) from SARS-CoV-2 recovered-vaccinated donors capable of neutralizing many variants of SARS-CoV-2 and other β-CoVs. Many of these mAbs target the conserved S2 stem region of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, rather than the receptor binding domain contained within S1 primarily targeted by current SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.

Evaluating CK20 and MCPyV Antibody Clones in Diagnosing Merkel Cell Carcinoma.

Endocr Pathol

January 2025

Department of Pathology, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University, Millet Caddesi, Fatih, Istanbul, 34093, Turkey.

Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is diagnosed through histopathological and immunohistochemical examination of biopsies from skin or other organs. Its distinguishing features include perinuclear dot-like staining with Cytokeratin 20 (CK20) and detection of Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) using various methods. However, CK20 and MCPyV negative MCC cases have been reported at varying rates.

Background: When haemolytic anaemia, thrombocytopenia and renal failure are present, a thrombotic microangiopathic (TMA) condition should be suspected. We describe the various differential diagnoses of primary TMA syndromes, their clinical findings, clinical workup and treatment.

Case Presentation: A previously healthy man in his fifties was hospitalised with anaemia, thrombocytopenia, bilirubinaemia and acute renal failure.

Jiangsu Co-innovation Center for Prevention and Control of Important Animal Infectious Diseases and Zoonoses, Yangzhou University, Yangzhou, Jiangsu, China.

Salmonella is a common foodborne zoonotic pathogen that poses a great threat to human health and breeding industry. The rapid detection of Salmonella is necessary for early prevention and control. In this study, a subtractive inhibition assay (SIA) based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for the rapid detection of Salmonella was developed.

To investigate how PD-L1 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) affect the left ventricular function in mice with myocardial infarction (MI) and through what mechanisms they exert their effects. In vivo experiments were conducted using 27 female BALB/c mice, which were divided equally into 3 groups. Cardiac function was assessed by ultrasound.
