Increasing evidence suggested the multifactorial nature of nocturia, but the true pathogenesis of this condition still remains to be elucidated. Contemporary clinical medications are mostly symptom based, aimed at either reducing nocturnal urine volume or targeting autonomic receptors within the bladder to facilitate urine storage. The day-night switch of the micturition pattern is controlled by circadian clocks located both in the central nervous system and in the peripheral organs.

Background: Chronopharmacology takes into account, among other things, the circadian rhythm, a recurring, daily rhythm of biological functions that is significantly influenced by the day-night rhythm. Daily rhythm, diseases, and therapies influence each other: the circadian rhythm, among other factors, could influence the effect of pharmacological and nonpharmacological therapies, especially in urological oncology.
Aim: This article focuses on the question of the optimal time for therapeutic interventions and considers relevant basics of chronobiological principles depending on possible biomarkers that could be targets of a future therapeutic approach.
Introduction: Currently, chronic recurrent cystitis is one of the most important problems in urology. Considering the role of immune status disorders in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases, the use of immunocorrective drugs as part of the complex therapy is of particular relevance.
Aim: to study the efficiency of therapy for chronic recurrent bacterial cystitis in combination with immunomodulators (Galavit).
