Background: The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the rapid availability of evidence to respond in a timely manner to the needs of practice settings and decision-makers in health and social services. Now that the pandemic is over, it is time to put in place actions to improve the capacity of systems to meet knowledge needs in a situation of crisis. The main objective of this project was thus to develop an action plan for the rapid syntheses of evidence in times of health crisis in Quebec (Canada).

As research progresses, our understanding of the tumor microenvironment (TME) has undergone profound changes. The TME evolves with the developmental stages of cancer and the implementation of therapeutic interventions, transitioning from an immune-promoting to an immunosuppressive microenvironment. Consequently, we focus intently on the significant role of the TME in tumor proliferation, metastasis, and the development of drug resistance.

Early identification of hereditary cancer predisposition in adolescents and young adults represents a unique opportunity to target cancer prevention and improve survival in a population at risk for adverse health outcomes. However, adolescents and young adults face challenges unique to their stage of life that can undermine their transition from pediatric to adult healthcare and lead to interruptions in preventative care. The purpose of this study was to understand expert perspectives on factors relevant to designing and implementing a transition clinic for adolescents and young adults with hereditary cancer predisposition.

Optimizing vaccine uptake is a public health challenge that requires the implementation of effective strategies. The asymmetric dominance (or decoy) effect describes the increasing likelihood of selecting an option when a clearly inferior alternative is offered. Therefore, we aimed to test the impact of offering decoy alternatives-less convenient vaccination appointments-on vaccination intentions.
