Backgrounds: The pathophysiology of nephrolithiasis is complex, influenced by both environmental and genetic factors. Calcium is the most prevalent metabolite present in the stone matrix. Stimulating the basolateral calcium sensing receptor (CASR) in the renal tubules leads to an increase in claudin-14 expression, reducing paracellular calcium permeability and increasing urinary Ca excretion.

Background: Infliximab and adalimumab are the only biologics thus far approved for paediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), so other biologics, such as vedolizumab, are prescribed off-label. Despite its frequent use, prospective data for vedolizumab treatment in children are available only for short-term induction outcomes. We aimed to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of maintenance therapy with vedolizumab in paediatric patients with IBD.

Methods: A single-center retrospective review of all patients ≤21 years old who underwent surgical resection of a lymphatic malformation at a quaternary referral center with a multidisciplinary vascular anomalies team from 2004 to 2024. Data pertaining to postoperative outcomes and treatments was abstracted.
