Patients with diabetes represent around 25 % of hospitalized persons. Treatment of diabetes patient is more complicated. Modification or initiation of antidiabetic treatment is often a significant problem during hospitalization on standard medical ward. The aim of this article is to present basic recommendations for in-patient diabetes treatment.

Introduction: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and its complications significantly increase the risk of premature mortality and disability among patients, placing a considerable burden on socioeconomic development. Evidence has shows that effective transitional care can improve health outcomes for patients with T2DM. However, T2DM transitional care faces challenges including service discontinuity, communication breakdowns and a lack of personalised design, leading to potential issues of undertreatment and overtreatment, increasing the risk of improper blood sugar management.

Introduction: Klinefelter syndrome (KS) is a genetic condition characterised by the presence of an extra X chromosome in males (47,XXY). KS is associated with various phenotypic characteristics in adult life, including infertility, hypogonadism and increased risk of type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. Additionally, individuals with KS often experience mental health challenges and functional impairments that significantly impact their quality of life.
