Childhood obesity and its consequences are a significant public health problem worldwide. Gut microbiota has a potential role in the development of. In the current datasets, we present 16S rDNA amplicon metasequencing of the gut microbiome of adolescents with normal weight, obesity, and obesity with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) carried out using the Illumine platform. The datasets presented in this report are partly shown in the research article named "Composition and Structure of Gut Microbiome in Adolescents with Obesity and Different Breastfeeding Duration" [1]. The amplicon metasequencing data were deposited at NCBI SRA as BioProject PRJNA604466. A total of 22 phyla, 34 classes, and 231 genera were revealed. Three groups of adolescents had 196 core amplicon sequence variant (ASV), whereas 45, 24, and 1 ASV were unique for adolescents with normal body weight, obesity, and obesity with IBS, respectively. The metagenomic data were first obtained for adolescents from Eastern Siberian, Russia. They have the potential for predictive analysis, which is crucial for understanding microbial community dynamics and their role in the development of the intestinal microbiome. Considering the recent focus on gut microbiota, new datasets are needed to determine the association between gut microbes and the weight of adolescents from previously unexplored regions such as Siberia, Russia.

Aging is typically associated with declines in episodic memory, executive functions, and sleep quality. Therefore, the sleep-dependent stabilization of episodic memory is suspected to decline during aging. This might reflect in accelerated long-term forgetting, which refers to normal learning and retention over hours, yet an abnormal retention over nights and days.

The application of the Internet combined with extracurricular running exercise plays an important role in promoting the reform of school physical education teaching and the healthy development of students' physical fitness. 2379 students of Guilin Medical College used the Flash Campus APP for 30 weeks of running exercise during the school period, and the Wilcoxon test and t-test were used to statistically test the data of 50 m, standing long jump, lung capacity, seated forward bending, height, and body weight; men's pull-ups, 1,000 m; and women's sit-ups, 800 m pre- and post-tests. The Z/t values of men's 50 m, standing long jump, pull-ups, and lung capacity; women's 50 m running, standing long jump, sit-ups, lung capacity, and sitting prone flexion after extracurricular running exercise were - 3.

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is defined as feeding infants only breast milk of the mother or a wet nurse for the first six months, without additional food or liquids except the oral rehydration solution or drops/syrups of vitamins, minerals or medicines. The working status of women in developed countries adversely affects the EBF rates, which calls for an assessment in rapidly developing countries like India. Therefore, the primary aim of the present study is to determine the prevalence of EBF using the data from the National Family Health Surveys (NFHS 3, 4, 5) conducted between 2005 and 06, 2015-16 and 2019-21 to estimate the likelihood EBF according to mothers' employment status.

Introduction: Tumorous growths in the sellar region pose significant clinical challenges due to their proximity to critical visual structures such as the optic chiasm and optic nerves. Given their proximity to the optic system, these tumors are often diagnosed due to a progressive decrease in visual acuity. Thus, surgical intervention is crucial to prevent irreversible damage, as timely decompression can halt the progression of edema and subsequent optic atrophy.

Child-directed speech (CDS), which amplifies acoustic and social features of speech during interactions with young children, promotes typical phonetic and language development. In autism, both behavioral and brain data indicate reduced sensitivity to human speech, which predicts absent, decreased, or atypical benefits of exaggerated speech signals such as CDS. This study investigates the impact of exaggerated fundamental frequency (F0) and voice-onset time on the neural processing of speech sounds in 22 Chinese-speaking autistic children aged 2-7 years old with a history of speech delays, compared with 25 typically developing (TD) peers.
