Objectives: To characterize the radiological findings of desmoid-type fibromatosis (DF).
Methods: This two-institution retrospective study included 152 patients with pathologically confirmed DF who underwent computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography (FDG-PET)/CT between January 2001 and February 2024. Two board-certified radiologists independently evaluated the CT, MRI, and FDG-PET/CT findings, and a third board-certified radiologist resolved discrepancies.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a widespread highly malignant type of lung cancer. Conventional chemotherapeutic drugs may be accompanied by both drug resistance and serious side effects in patients. Therefore, safer and more effective medications are urgently needed for the treatment of NSCLC.

Comprehensive insights are lacking into why patients with hematological malignancies (HMs) receive no cancer-directed treatment. We evaluated socio-demographic and cancer-related characteristics, decision-making rationales, and overall survival in patients with three common HMs-diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), symptomatic multiple myeloma (MM), and acute myeloid leukemia (AML)-who do not receive cancer-directed treatment, using the nationwide Netherlands Cancer Registry. A total of 26 945 patients diagnosed with DLBCL (47%), symptomatic MM (29%), or AML (25%) between 2014 and 2021 were included.

Volumetric muscle loss (VML) refers to muscle tissue loss exceeding 20% within a functional area due to trauma or surgery, often leading to physical disabilities. VML treatment relies on the transplantation of autologous flaps harvested from a healthy-donor site while minimizing the probability of immune rejection. However, this approach often leads to donor-site morbidity and relies on a restricted supply of muscle tissue.

Self-assembly plays a critical role in nanoparticle-based applications. However, it remains challenging to monitor the self-assembly of multi-component nanomaterials at a single-particle level, in real-time, with high throughput, and in a model-independent manner. Here, multi-color fluorescence microscopy is applied to track the assembly of both liposomes and mRNA simultaneously in clinical mRNA-based cancer immunotherapy.
