Objective: To describe the ocular findings in dogs and cats after chemical injury by the Bronze Orange Bug (Musgraveia sulciventris), which is endemic to eastern Australia in Queensland and New South Wales.
Animals Studied: Medical records were reviewed for the keywords "stink bug" between February 2013 and January 2023. Signalment, clinical signs, month at presentation, and affected eye(s) were recorded.

Aposematic animals rely on diverse secondary metabolites for defence. Various hypotheses, such as competition, life history and multifunctionality, have been posited to explain defence variability and diversity. We investigate the compound selectivity hypothesis using large milkweed bugs, , to determine if distinct cardenolides vary in toxicity to different predators.

Understanding the fundamental life cycle and reproductive behavior of a pest insect is essential for developing efficient control strategies; however, much of this knowledge remains elusive for a multitude of insects, including the cotton seed bug, . Here, we report the results of our comprehensive study on the cotton seed bug's life cycle, including mating behavior, adult lifespan, and egg-to-adulthood development. Our findings showed that adult males and females began mating as early as three days after emerging (75%), and the frequency of mating increased to 100% by the fifth day.

Diet is an important factor in shaping and influencing both an insect's phenotype and gut bacterial community, which commonly establishes diversely symbiotic interactions with the host. Efforts to leverage the connection between diet, insects, and gut microbiome primarily focus on how diet alters insect's phenotype or gut microbial composition and relatively few studies have illuminated the link between the diet-induced insect phenotypic difference and variation of gut microbiota. Mirids bugs, Adelphocoris suturalis, are plant sap-feeding omnivores that sometimes complementarily prey on other insects, like aphids (the dietary regime is referred to hereafter as balanced diet).
