Unlabelled: Irritation fibroma is a benign, exophytic reactive oral lesion that develops secondary to injury. Its recurrence rate is rare but may happen in case of repeated trauma at the same site. This case report describes a recurrent fibroma in the anterior region of the hard palate in a 13-year-old male patient, which recurred in less than 1 year of surgical excision of the previous lesion. Through a detailed case history and clinical examination, the etiological factor of the same was found to be trauma from occlusion by the lower incisors. A multidisciplinary treatment approach was, therefore, undertaken, which included surgical excision of the lesion and correction of the underlying deep bite to prevent recurrence of the lesion. Thus, this article highlights the significance of a multidisciplinary approach for holistic dental treatment.

Introduction: Patients with chronic low back pain face functional, psychological, social and professional difficulties. Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Programs (MRP) can be an effective treatment to help these patients to improve their condition and return to work.
Objective: To determine baseline predictors for return to work after an MRP for patients with chronic low back pain struggling to maintain their job.

Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally, significantly influenced by modifiable risk factors, particularly hypercholesterolemia. Despite the availability of effective lipid-lowering drugs, achieving the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) target levels remains a significant challenge in clinical practice, contributing to persistent high rates of cardiovascular events. The intEgrated multidiscipliNary pathway for large-scale maNagement of dyslipidemiA in high-risk patients (ENNA) Project was designed to address the alarming rates of suboptimal lipid management among high and very-high risk patients in the Province of Enna, Sicily.

This review highlights the crucial role of neuroelectrophysiology in illuminating the mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis and progression, emphasizing its potential to inform the development of effective treatments. Electrophysiological techniques provide unparalleled precision in exploring the intricate networks affected by AD, offering insights into the synaptic dysfunction, network alterations, and oscillatory abnormalities that characterize the disease. We discuss a range of electrophysiological methods, from non-invasive clinical techniques like electroencephalography and magnetoencephalography to invasive recordings in animal models.

Background: Facial palsy (FP) is a widespread condition affecting over 3 million people annually, with a complex etiology requiring tailored, multidisciplinary management. Despite advancements, there remains a lack of reliable, automated tools for objective pre- and postoperative assessment, limiting progress in treatment optimization. This study introduces the AI Research Metrics Model (CAARISMA ® ARMM) to evaluate FP severity and outcomes following microsurgical gracilis muscle transfer.

Introduction: This study aimed to compare the long-term outcomes in a propensity matched population receiving either minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass (MIDCAB) using left internal thoracic artery (LITA) to the left anterior descending artery (LAD) or percutaneous coronary intervention using second generation everolismus-eluting stents (DES-PCI) in patients treated for isolated proximal LAD stenosis.
Methods: Between January 2012 and December 2017, 421 patients with a nonemergency status undergoing primary isolated proximal LAD revascularization were retrospectively analyzed and were divided into two groups: 111 patients receiving MIDCAB LITA to LAD and 310 patients receiving DES-PCI. Propensity score matching selected 111 pairs and both groups were comparable for all baseline characteristics and well balanced.
