miRNAs are small non-coding RNA molecules that play critical roles in the regulation of gene expression and have been closely associated with various diseases, including cancer. These molecules significantly influence the cell cycle of tumor cells and control programmed cell death (apoptosis). Currently, research on miRNAs has become a major focus in developing cancer therapies.

: Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the involvement of ferroptosis in its pathological mechanism. In this study, the effects and mechanism of BRCA1-associated protein 1 (BAP1) on neuronal ferroptosis in PD were evaluated. : A PD mouse model was constructed by injecting mice with MPTP.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) involves a series of syndromes characterized by a rapid increase in creatinine levels. Ferroptosis, as an iron-dependent mode of programmed cell death, reportedly participates in the pathogenesis of AKI. Methyltransferase-like 3 (METTL3)-mediated N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification has been recently associated with various kidney diseases; however, the mechanism of METTL3 crosstalk with the molecules involved in ferroptosis is not clearly understood.

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A2B1 (HNRNPA2B1), a member of the A/B subfamily of hnRNPs, plays a critical role in tumorigenesis, yet its expression patterns, molecular mechanisms, and prognostic significance remain inadequately characterized. In this study, we performed a comprehensive pan-cancer analysis utilizing multiple public databases, revealing that HNRNPA2B1 is consistently overexpressed in most tumor types and correlates with poor prognosis across several malignancies. Pathway enrichment analysis highlighted its involvement in RNA alternative splicing, transport, and stability, processes that contribute to tumor progression.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a medical condition characterized by cardiac remodeling and dysfunction in individuals with diabetes mellitus. Sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) and mitochondrial Ca overload in cardiomyocytes have been recognized as biological hallmarks in DCM; however, the specific factors underlying these abnormalities remain largely unknown. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of a cardiac-specific long noncoding RNA, D830005E20Rik (Trdn-as), in DCM.
