Herein, we report a case of atypical spindle cell lipomatous tumor (ASCLT) on both sides of the tongue in a 74-year-old male patient. The patient was referred to our department for treatment of the masses in the tongue. Several elastic soft indolent masses were detected during the first examination. The masses were well defined, and their consistency was similar to that of adipose tissues. No signs of induration were observed in the surrounding tissues. The patient was not aware of the masses, which were only detected during his visit at the dental clinic that referred him to our institution. Thus, the onset of the masses remains unknown. ASCLT was identified via histopathological examination. Then, tumor excision was performed under general anesthesia. Thirteen months after surgery, the condition of the patient was good, and signs of local recurrence or postoperative metastasis were not observed.

Background: In this pilot study, the diagnostic agreement for sleep biomarker‐based neurodegenerative disorder (NDD) risk probabilities was evaluated in patients with Alzheimer’s disease dementia (AD), Lewy body disease (LBD), mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and controls (CG) with a Mini‐Mental State Exam scores ≥28.
Methods: Sleep biomarkers recorded with the Sleep Profiler (Advanced Brain Monitoring, Inc.) were used as inputs to a 4‐class machine learning algorithm trained to assign NDD risk probabilities to AD=27, LBD=19, isolated REM sleep behavior disorder=15, and CG=58.

Background: Prognostication of atypical spindle cell neoplasms, including atypical fibroxanthoma (AFX) and pleomorphic dermal sarcoma (PDS), is challenging; outcomes vary widely, and further identification of prognostic features is crucial.
Objective: To evaluate prognostic factors that may portend worse outcomes in patients with AFX and PDS.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective chart review of patients with AFX and PDS was conducted.

Spindle cell lipoma (SCL) is a benign adipocytic tumor usually found in the subcutis of the posterior neck, upper back, and shoulder, predominantly in middle-aged males. This case report describes an atypical presentation of SCL in a 26-year-old male with a history of malignant melanoma. The patient presented with an erythematous plaque with central hyperpigmentation on the right upper arm, an uncommon location and presentation for SCL.

Centrosomes organize microtubules that are essential for mitotic divisions in animal cells. They consist of centrioles surrounded by pericentriolar material (PCM). Questions related to mechanisms of centriole assembly, PCM organization, and spindle microtubule formation remain unanswered, partly due to limited availability of molecular-resolution structural data inside cells.
