Background infection (CDI) is a significant healthcare concern, marked by its rising prevalence and associated morbidity and mortality. However, there is limited data on the epidemiology of CDI in the eastern region of India. Objectives The study aims to determine the incidence of CDI among adult patients admitted to the inpatient department of a tertiary care hospital and identify the risk factors associated with CDI.

A previously healthy, 28-year-old man presented with a two-day history of diarrhea and chest pain, suggestive of infectious myocarditis. Initial workup revealed elevated troponin-I levels and diffuse ST-segment elevations on electrocardiogram (ECG). Transthoracic echocardiography showed a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (40-45%), posteroinferior wall akinesis, and a small pericardial effusion.

Background: Evaluation of primary care allows for identification of problems in the healthcare system, such as poor health outcomes, inappropriate health services, overuse of unnecessary resources, or underuse of recommended strategies. Assessment of adherence to existing clinical practice guidelines as quality indicators is critical for evaluating the effectiveness of primary care and shaping healthcare policies.
Objectives: To determine the adherence of primary care providers to existing practice guidelines for common pediatric concerns in remote, rural, and urban areas in the Philippines.

This was an original study that mainly explored the effect of probiotic therapy and personalized nursing on immune function in children with acute gastroenteritis. One hundred and twelve (112) children with acute gastroenteritis were selected and divided into an intervention group and a control group. The control group accepted omeprazole enteric-coated capsules and routine nursing.

Background: Severe acute malnutrition (SAM) is a severe condition causing bilateral pitting edema or signs of wasting in children, with a high mortality risk. An outpatient therapeutic program is recommended for managing SAM children without complications, but there is limited information on recovery time and its determinants.
Objective: This study aims to assess the time to recovery and its predictors among children aged 6-59 months with SAM admitted to the Outpatient therapeutic program in the Borena zone, Oromia region, Southern Ethiopia in 2023.
