Humans have a natural tendency to explain events as caused by metaphysical or supernatural beings and forces. Much of the research in the psychology of religion over the past few years has focused on explanations and experiences involving a person-like God, whether God is authoritarian and/or benevolent, and the extent to which people think of God as being involved in human affairs. Yet many theists think of God in more abstract terms. Moreover, people in every religious tradition and culture believe in other metaphysical beings and forces. These beliefs and related experiences may reflect, and even predict, a believer's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. More precise measures and innovative methodologies are needed to investigate the great variability in metaphysical beliefs.

The aim of this study is to analyze the transformation of aged women into yokai in Japanese literature, examining this metamorphosis from the perspectives of plastic surgery and gerontophobia. The Noh play "Adachigahara" explores the transformation of an outcast into a monstrous figure, highlighting how poverty, isolation, and aging can lead to a person's demonization, both metaphorically and literally. In "Rokujō no Miyasudokoro", Lady Rokujō's transformation into a vengeful spirit is tied to themes of aging, abandonment, and the societal devaluation of women as they grow older.

The cells cultured in vitro are derived from preosteoblasts in tissues and possess the ability to divide and proliferate. Osteoblasts form the bone matrix by secreting collagen and other matrix proteins, which provides a foundation for the deposition of minerals such as calcium and phosphorus, ultimately resulting in the formation of hard bone tissue.

A spatial redundantly actuated parallel mechanism (RAPM) constrained by two point contact higher kinematic pairs (HKPs) has been designed, arising from the inspiration of mastication in human beings: the end effector is the lower jaw, the six kinematic chains are the primary chewing muscles, and the constraints at HKPs are the temporomandibular joints. In this paper, firstly, the constrained motions of the mechanism are described in detail; thereafter, five models are formulated by the well-known Newton-Euler's law, the Lagrangian equations, and the principle of virtual work, to explore its rigid-body inverse dynamics. The symbolic results show that the model structures based on these approaches are quite different: the model via the Newton-Euler law well reflects the nature of the mechanism in terms of the constraint forces from HKPs with six equations and eight unknowns, and the existence of reaction forces at the spherical joints is tightly dependent on the number of kinematic chains.
