Fluoroquinolone antibiotic residues, ofloxacin (OFX) have aroused more attention because of their serious influence on surface water and food area, which seriously affect human health. Herein, a visible and high-performance sensor method for detecting OFX is fabricated successfully by co-assembling bimetallic Ln (Eu/Tb) and amino-clay named EuTb(BZ)@AC. By changing the ultraviolet excitation wavelength, the sensor displayed high sensitivity and low detection limit to OFX in different modes of detection OFX, which are ratiometric luminescent sensor and turn-on luminescent sensor approaches.

A ratiometric fluorescence-photothermal dual-mode assay method is constructed for the detection of butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) activity based on time-resolved levodopa (L-DOPA) cascade polymerization. First, a newly designed bimetallic metal-organic framework (MOF), Eu/Co-DPA (DPA: pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid), is screened out as a fluorescent nanozyme with high catalytic activity and superior luminescence properties. In the presence of boric acid (BA), L-DOPA forms BA-esterified L-DOPA, which is catalyzed by Eu/Co-DPA to form the oligomers with strong blue fluorescence.

Thioxanthone (TX) molecules and their derivatives are well-known photoactive compounds. Yet, there exist only a handful of luminescent systems combining TX with transition metals. Recently, we reported a TX-based PSP pincer ligand () that appears as a promising platform for filling this niche.

An essential feature of coinage metal nanoclusters (NCs) is their photoluminescence (PL), which spans a wide range of wavelengths from visible to near-infrared regions (NIR-I/II). A key challenge for synthetic chemists is to develop materials capable of efficient spectral change with maximum efficiency. Herein, we report novel dithiolate-protected bimetallic Pd-Ag NCs of the type [PdAgS{SP(OR)}] (R = Pr, 1Pr and Bu, 1Bu) and [PdAgS{SP(OBu)}] (2Bu).

Bimetallic Pt-based catalysts, for example, PtZn and PtSn catalysts, have gained significant attention for addressing the poor stability and low selectivity of pristine Pt catalysts over propane dehydrogenation (PDH). However, the structures of the active sites and the corresponding catalytic mechanism of PDH are still elusive. Here, we demonstrate a spatially confined Pt-ZnO@RUB-15 catalyst (where "" is the mole ratio of Zn/Pt and RUB-15 is a layered silica), which exhibited high catalytic activity, ultrahigh selectivity (>99%), and resistance to coking at 550 °C for PDH.
