Early parenting home-visiting interventions have been found to be highly effective in promoting child development. Yet, there are many obstacles in the implementation of home-visiting programs, including travel and access to trained providers. Internet-based interventions can reach many parents of infants to overcome these barriers. The objective of this randomized control trial was to evaluate the impact of the Internet-adaptation of the Play and Learning Strategies (PALS) program, a preventive intervention program to strengthen effective parenting practices that promote early language, cognitive, and social development. others in low-income environments ( = 164) of infants were randomized to either (a) an Internet-facilitated PALS parenting intervention or (b) an Internet-facilitated attention control condition. Measures included direct observations of maternal behavior with her infant, questionnaires about maternal functioning and parenting knowledge, and real-time program usage. Experimental participants demonstrated significantly greater increases in parenting knowledge and observed language-supportive parenting behaviors with a correlated positive change in infant language behaviors. Effects were pronounced when participants received a greater dosage of the intervention. Results suggest that the Internet-based translation of the PALS program is effective as a remotely delivered intervention for economically disadvantaged families to strengthen early parenting behaviors that promote infant social communication and child language development.

The multicenter, phase III GMMG ReLApsE trial (EudraCT-No:2009-013856-61) randomized relapsed and/or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) patients equally to lenalidomide/dexamethasone (LEN/DEX, 25mg days 1-21/40mg weekly, 4-week cycles) re-induction, salvage high dose chemotherapy (sHDCT, melphalan 200mg/m2), autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) and LEN maintenance (10mg/day; transplant arm, n=139) versus continuous LEN/DEX (control arm, n=138). Ninety-four percent of patients had received frontline HDCT/ASCT. We report an updated analysis of survival endpoints with a median follow-up of 99 months.

Purpose: Early interdisciplinary supportive care (ESC), including psychological interventions, can improve the survival of patients with metastatic esophagogastric cancer (EGC). The purpose of the study was to evaluate the association between psychological factors and survival in patients with metastatic EGC.
Methods: A secondary analysis was conducted for an open-label randomized controlled trial of ESC, in which 246 patients with EGC completed a distress measure (the distress thermometer) and a depression symptom measure (the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 [PHQ-9]) at baseline before cancer treatments.

Introduction: Thermal ablative methods (such as argon plasma coagulation (APC) and soft tip snare coagulation (STSC) are commonly used to treat polyp margins. We aim to appraise the current literature and compare clinical outcomes between patients with treated (with APC vs. STSC) and non-treated endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) margins.
