CO emission reduction has become a binding target in China's economic and social development. The mining industry is China's primary energy consumer and therefore has an important influence on China's CO emissions. Herein, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of data from the Chinese mining industry between 2004 and 2015. And we employ meta-frontier data envelopment analysis to analyse the CO emission efficiency of the Chinese mining industry and identify the driving factors that influence the observed dynamic changes in CO emission efficiency. The main practical conclusions of our research are as follows: (1) the CO emission efficiency of China's mining industry had grown continuously during the study period; (2) during the study period, the CO emission efficiency of China's mining industry did not change consistently with changes in different geographical regions; (3) the overall efficiency of management in China's mining sector was low; (4) the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in China's mining sector played a significant role in the improvement of the CO emission efficiency. The empirical results provide constructive policy implications that should be considered by the policy makers for the more sustainable development of China's mining sector.

The shear resistance of filling joints is an important factor affecting the stability of rock joints. Pressure-shear tests of cement-filled joints were carried out. Combined with the acoustic emission (AE) technique, the effects of normal stress, roughness and filling degree on the shear strength, damage morphology and damage evolution of cement-filled joints were investigated.

As a typical ecologically fragile area, the Wudong Coal Mine region in Xinjiang generates large accumulations of coal gangue each year, which, in the alkaline soil environment, can easily lead to significant leaching and accumulation of As. This study developed a stabilizer (CFD) using cement, fly ash, and desulfurized gypsum to modify in-situ soil in the Xinjiang mining area, resulting in a modified solidified soil with excellent geotechnical performance and As stabilization capability. The study results showed that when CFD content exceeded 14.

The automatic and accurate extraction of diverse biomedical relations from literature constitutes the core elements of medical knowledge graphs, which are indispensable for healthcare artificial intelligence. Currently, fine-tuning through stacking various neural networks on pre-trained language models (PLMs) represents a common framework for end-to-end resolution of the biomedical relation extraction (RE) problem. Nevertheless, sequence-based PLMs, to a certain extent, fail to fully exploit the connections between semantics and the topological features formed by these connections.

SDU050, a fungus derived from deep-sea sediment, is a prolific producer of diverse secondary metabolites. Genome sequencing revealed the presence of at least 69 biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs), including 30 encoding type I polyketide synthases (PKSs). This study reports the isolation and identification of four classes of secondary metabolites from wild-type SDU050, alongside five additional metabolite classes, including three novel cytochalasins (-), obtained from a mutant strain through the metabolic blockade strategy.

: The integration of microbiome and metabolome data could unveil profound insights into biological processes. However, widely used multi-omic data analyses often employ a stepwise mining approach, failing to harness the full potential of multi-omic datasets and leading to reduced detection accuracy. Synergistic analysis incorporating microbiome/metabolome data are essential for deeper understanding.
