New Caledonia has a rich Trichoptera fauna with over 200 known species, most of them endemic. The total diversity has been estimated as high as 300 to 600 species. The endemic genus Ward & Schefter (Ecnomidae, Trichoptera) includes 28 described species. Based on male genitalia morphology and previously published molecular data another 47 new species in the genus are described, namely , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , and Additionally, new records are provide for the species Ward, 2003, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward, 2003, Ward, 2003, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward, 2003, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, Ward & Schefter, 2000, and Ward & Schefter, 2000. With a total of 75 described species is one of the largest animal radiations in New Caledonia. Nothing is known about the early stages of any of the species in this genus.
