Description of 47 new species of the New Caledonian endemic caddisfly genus Ward & Schefter (Trichoptera, Ecnomidae).

New Caledonia has a rich Trichoptera fauna with over 200 known species, most of them endemic. The total diversity has been estimated as high as 300 to 600 species. The endemic genus Ward & Schefter (Ecnomidae, Trichoptera) includes 28 described species.
