Despite its effectiveness, the efficiency of AAG is limited by unpredictable adipocyte survival, impacting graft volume retention (26-83%). Acellular adipose matrices (AAMs) have emerged as a potential alternative to AAG.

Background: Long-term fasting demonstrates greater therapeutic potential and broader application prospects in extreme environments than intermittent fasting.
Method: This pilot study of 10-day complete fasting (CF), with a small sample size of 13 volunteers, aimed to investigate the time-series impacts on gut microbiome, serum metabolome, and their interrelationships with biochemical indices.
Results: The results show CF significantly affected gut microbiota diversity, composition, and interspecies interactions, characterized by an expansion of the Proteobacteria phylum (about six-fold) and a decrease in Bacteroidetes (about 50%) and Firmicutes (about 34%) populations.

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) present an innovative approach to enhance tissue repair and regeneration in the context of wound healing. The intrinsic presence of MSCs in skin tissue, combined with their roles in wound repair, ease of isolation, broad secretory profile, and low immunogenicity, makes them especially promising for treating chronic wounds.

A growing body of research indicates that excessive empathy, particularly high level of affective empathy, can lead to overwhelming emotional states, increasing susceptibility to psychological distress and psychiatric disorders.
