Ileocolic intussusception is the most common form of intussusception in children. Intussusception in the appendix or cecum without a lead point in a child is very rare and was found with total colonoscopy (TCS) and computed tomography. A 9 year-old boy was admitted to our hospital with fever, vomiting, and two episodes of bloody diarrhea. Inflammatory bowel disease was suspected; TCS was performed and revealed intussusception whose advanced region was in the cecum. The diagnosis was idiopathic cecum intussusception. This case was unusual in that intussusception had occurred at a young age but without lead point; in addition, the intussusception had also occurred at the tip of the cecum. The intussusception was safely reduced by endoscopic procedures, and after improvement in the vomiting, the patient was safely discharged and has had no bloody stools since. We demonstrated cecal intussusception without lead point observed on TCS in a child.

The development of synthetic methodologies that promote greener reactions have become so essential that it has slowly shaped the way chemists think about the construction of physiologically and chemically active compounds. The acid-catalyzed iminoketone - aldehyde condensations leading to Hydroxy imidazole -oxides serve as robust strategies for forming C-N bonds. Considering all the existing challenges that come with the use of solvent and energy-intensive methodologies, herein a green synthetic strategy using ultrasound with optimization of reaction conditions and thorough investigation into the mechanism for obtaining the best yields are reported.

Purpose: This systematic review aimed to identify and compare tools used to evaluate quality of life (QoL) after pelvic radiation for cervical cancer and to describe variations in results within commonly used instruments. This review hypothesized regional preferences in the selection of these tools and an absence of uniformity in their application globally.

Methods And Materials: A comprehensive search of 6 databases was conducted between the inception of each included database and June 14, 2023, focusing on studies evaluating the QoL of patients with cervical cancer during and after radiation.

The development of cost-effective point-of-use (POU) devices that effectively remove lead (Pb) from drinking water is imperative in mitigating the threat of Pb contamination to public health in underdeveloped regions. Herein, we have successfully transformed inexpensive natural kaolinite as hydroxy-sodalite (HySOD) via a simple hydrothermal process, achieving an impressive yield of 91.5 %.
