Active Fault Isolation for Multimode Fault Systems Based on a Set Separation Indicator.

Entropy (Basel)

May 2023

Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Information Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing 100124, China.

This paper considers the active fault isolation problem for a class of uncertain multimode fault systems with a high-dimensional state-space model. It has been observed that the existing approaches in the literature based on a steady-state active fault isolation method are often accompanied by a large delay in making the correct isolation decision. To reduce such fault isolation latency significantly, this paper proposes a fast online active fault isolation method based on the construction of residual transient-state reachable set and transient-state separating hyperplane.

Atomic-Level Regulated 2D ReSe : A Universal Platform Boostin Photocatalysis.

Adv Mater

May 2023

School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, The University of Adelaide, Adelaide, South Australia, 5005, Australia.

Solar hydrogen (H ) generation via photocatalytic water splitting is practically promising, environmentally benign, and sustainably carbon neutral. It is important therefore to understand how to controllably engineer photocatalysts at the atomic level. In this work, atomic-level engineering of defected ReSe nanosheets (NSs) is reported to significantly boost photocatalytic H evolution on various semiconductor photocatalysts including TiO , CdS, ZnIn S , and C N .

Approximate scaling of the SSFP steady state.

Magn Reson Med

June 2023

School of Medicine, Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Klinikum rechts der Isar der TUM, Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany.

Purpose: It is shown that the steady state of rapid, TR-periodic steady-state free precession (SSFP) sequences at small to moderate flip angles exhibits a universal, approximate scaling law with respect to variations of . Implications for the accuracy and precision of relaxometry experiments are discussed.

Methods: The approximate scaling law is derived from and numerically tested against known analytical solutions.

Due to the ultra-low permeability of unconventional reservoirs, transient state prevails for a considerable period. Despite this, fracture interference can cause an apparent no-flow boundary. Consequently, the Duong's model, which was developed for transient-state period, yields unreliable estimates during the late-time period.
