Our aim was to evaluate the prognostic value of detectable high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI) and ischaemia-modified albumin (IMA) in predicting all-cause death or non-fatal ischaemic events in patients with PAD after endovascular revascularisation of the lower limbs. Patients who underwent successful endovascular revascularisation for chronic limb-threatening ischaemia (CLTI) or disabling intermittent claudication (IC) were prospectively included. Pre-procedural levels of hs-cTnI and IMA were measured, and patients were followed for one year for the occurrence of the composite outcome of all-cause death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, new-onset angina, non-fatal ischaemic stroke, transient ischaemic attack, or progression of PAD.

Background: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is the preferred treatment for large renal stones, yet variability in outcomes arises from patient-specific factors and institutional practices. Understanding complications and predictors of success is essential to improving procedural efficacy.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate stone clearance rates, complications classified using the Clavien-Dindo system, and predictors of PCNL outcomes, with a focus on improving lower calyx stone clearance.

Background: As patients with congenital heart disease are increasingly surviving well into adulthood, the morbidity, mortality, and resource utilization of adult congenital cardiac operations are of increasing interest. Therefore, we evaluated factors associated with perioperative morbidity and outcomes in adults undergoing congenital operations.

Methods: The Nationwide Readmissions Database was tabulated for all adults (≥18 years old) with congenital heart disease between 2010 and 2017.

Adenosine is extensively utilized in myocardial stress perfusion imaging for the detection and risk stratification of coronary artery disease. It has a well-established safety profile. The majority of the undesirable effects experienced during adenosine infusion are transient (owing to its brief half-life of ~10 s) and arise from the stimulation of receptors in the atrio-ventricular (AV) node (AV block) and bronchial smooth muscles (bronchospasm).

Background: As lung transplantation (LT) expands to older recipients, objective approaches to evaluate the aging are needed to optimize posttransplantation outcomes. Frailty assessment and sarcopenia have shown promise as tools for predicting clinical outcomes.

Methods: Patients older than 55 years undergoing evaluation for LT were enrolled in an institutional review board-approved study.
