Retraction statement. We, the Editors and Publisher of Journal of Biological Regulators and Homeostatic Agents, have retracted the following article: "miR-1290 promotes proliferation and suppresses apoptosis in acute myeloid leukemia by targeting FOXG1/SOCS3". Published in our Vol. 33 n. 6, 2019 issue, DOI: 10.23812/19-189-A. The article has been retracted following receipt of information from the corresponding author X.L. Ju, informing us that "they found that the cell lines they had been experimenting with were contaminated, and some of the results could not be repeated. In order not to mislead readers, they have withdrawn this manuscript with apologies". The article is withdrawn from all print and electronic editions. We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as "Retracted."

Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are susceptible to replication stress, which is a major contributor to HSC defects in Fanconi anemia (FA). Here, we report that HSCs relax the global chromatin by downregulating the expression of a chromatin architectural protein, DEK, in response to replication stress. DEK is abnormally accumulated in bone marrow (BM) CD34+ cells from patients with FA and in Fancd2-deficient HSCs.

Bone defects are difficult to treat clinically and most often require bone grafting for repair. However, the source of autograft bone is limited, and allograft bone carries the risk of disease transmission and immune rejection. As tissue engineering technology advances, bone replacement materials are playing an increasingly important role in the treatment of bone defects.

In plants, sperm cell formation involves two rounds of pollen mitoses, in which the microspore initiates the first pollen mitosis (PMI) to produce a vegetative cell and a generative cell, then the generative cell continues the second mitosis (PMII) to produce two sperm cells. DUO1, a R2R3 Myb transcription factor, is activated in the generative cell to promote S-G2/M transition during PMII. Loss-of-function of DUO1 caused a complete arrest of PMII.

Purpose: Previous studies have shown that long non-coding RNA GUSBP11 is abnormally expressed in patients with periodontitis, but the specific mechanism remains to be investigated. The purpose of this study was to explore the role of GUSBP11/miR-185-5p in chronic periodontitis (CP) and its potential mechanism, so as to provide a basis for elucidating the pathogenesis of CP.
Patients And Methods: The expression trends of GUSBP11 and miR-185-5p in gingival crevicular fluid of CP patients and control group were analyzed by RT-qPCR.
