As life expectancy among patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) increases, a growing number of complications have been observed. This population displays an elevated risk of ischemic necrosis of the femoral head in comparison to the general population, which may be attributed to HIV infection, antiretroviral medication use, and hormone application. Background: Childhood autoimmune disorders involve the immune system attacking its own tissues, leading to varied symptoms, while autoinflammatory disorders result from innate immune system dysregulation, both requiring extensive diagnosis and multidisciplinary management due to their complexity.
Case Presentation: We present a unique clinical case of a teenager with a combination of autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders. The initial manifestation of hip pain, coupled with progressive symptoms over several years and findings in multiple magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, culminated in the diagnosis of chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO).

Background: The angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphism (rs4340) is associated with the pathogenesis of heart failure (HF). This polymorphism may contribute to a greater propensity for severe HF and excess weight.
Objective: To evaluate adiposity, cardiac function, and their association with ACE I/D polymorphism in HF patients.
