Background: Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) accounts for 0.5-1% of all strokes. The role of endovascular therapy (EVT) in the management of CVT remains controversial and variations in practice patterns are not well known.

This study presents a method for real-time capable localization of impulsive acoustic events in urban terrain, omitting the need for precomputation phases, such as in time matching or impulse response matching. Using ray casting, solutions of the wave equation are computed using a boundary discretization of intersected objects, forming a weighted graph using line of sight checks, and deploying an A* search graph traversal algorithm for the calculation of the propagation time. Subsequently, the wave amplitude along the identified eigenrays is computed.

Background: Endovascular treatment (EVT) for stroke due to medium vessel occlusion (MeVO) can be technically challenging and specific endovascular tools are needed to safely and effectively recanalize these relatively small and fragile vessels. We aimed to gain insight into availability and desired qualities of endovascular devices used in MeVO stroke and examined barriers to adoption of MeVO EVT in clinical practice on a global scale.
Methods: We conducted a case-based international survey among neurointerventionalists.
