Design: Retrospective cohort study using data from the Swiss national IVF registry analysing the outcomes of 13,908 women undergoing embryo transfers resulting from their first lifetime oocyte retrieval before (2014-2016) or after (2020-2022) revision of the legislation, allowing extended culture for 12 zygotes. Live birth rates (LBR) and cumulative LBR (cLBR) were compared in fresh and frozen embryo transfer strategies in both periods. Adjusted multivariable mixed model analyses were performed to determine OR and incidence rate ratios (IRR).

Small RNA sequencing analysis in two chickpea genotypes, JG 62 (Fusarium wilt-susceptible) and WR 315 (Fusarium wilt-resistant), under Fusarium wilt stress led to identification of 544 miRNAs which included 406 known and 138 novel miRNAs. A total of 115 miRNAs showed differential expression in both the genotypes across different combinations. A miRNA, Car-miR398 targeted copper chaperone for superoxide dismutase (CCS) that, in turn, regulated superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity during chickpea-Foc interaction.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) features stereotypical spread of hyperphosphorylated tau (p-tau) and beta-amyloid. Although other pathological tau posttranslational modifications (PTMs) have been described in AD, a prevalent disease model preconizes that other tau PTMs always coincide with p-tau, making the latter an excellent marker of pathological tau burden. We showed in experimental studies that truncated tau (tr-tau), a pathological tau PTM generated via cleavage by active caspases, is as common as p-tau in neurons at late AD stages; however, only about 40% of tr-tau positive neurons also show p-tau positivity.
