Deuterated compounds have broad applications across various fields, with dehalogenative deuteration serving as an efficient method to obtain these molecules. However, the diverse electronic structures of active sites in the heterogeneous system and the limited recyclability in the homogeneous system significantly hinder the advancement of dehalogenative deuteration. In this study, we present a catalyst composed of copper single-atom sites anchored within an ordered mesoporous nitrogen-doped carbon matrix, synthesized via a mesopore confinement method.

The endoperoxide scaffold is found in numerous natural products and synthetic substances of pharmaceutical interest. The main challenge to their synthetic access remains the preparation of chiral compounds due to the weakness of the peroxide bond, which limits the scope of available or applicable methods. Here, we demonstrate how peroxycarbenium species can be trapped by silylated nucleophiles with high enantioselectivities and diastereoselectivities when applicable, using a chiral imidophosphorimidate (IDPi) as a catalyst.

Objective: We derive and validate D-RISK, an electronic health record (EHR)-driven risk score to optimize and facilitate screening for undiagnosed dysglycemia (prediabetes + diabetes) in clinical practice.
Research Design And Methods: We used retrospective EHR data (derivation sample) and a prospective diabetes screening study (validation sample) to develop D-RISK. Logistic regression with backward selection was used to predict dysglycemia (HbA1c ≥5.

Background: Using artificial intelligence (AI) to interpret chest X-rays (CXRs) could support accessible triage tests for active pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) in resource-constrained settings.
Methods: The performance of two cloud-based CXR AI systems - one to detect TB and the other to detect CXR abnormalities - in a population with a high TB and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) burden was evaluated. We recruited 1978 adults who had TB symptoms, were close contacts of known TB patients, or were newly diagnosed with HIV at three clinical sites.

Background: Convolutional neural networks have excellent modeling abilities to complex large-scale datasets and have been applied to genomics. It requires converting genotype data to image format when employing convolutional neural networks to genome-wide association studies. Existing studies converting the data into grayscale images have shown promising.
