Zearalenone (ZEN) is a prevalent mycotoxin that needs intensive monitoring. A semi-quantitative and quantitative immunochromatographic assay (ICA) was assembled for investigating ZEN contamination in 187 samples of cereal and their products from China in 2019. The semi-quantitative detection model had a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.50 ng/mL with visual judgment and could be completely inhibited within 5 min at 3.0 ng/mL ZEN. The quantitative detection model had a lower LOD of 0.25 ng/mL, and ZEN could be accurately and digitally detected from 0.25-4.0 ng/mL. The ICA method had a high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy for on-site ZEN detection. For investigation of the authentic samples, the ZEN-positive rate was 62.6%, and the ZEN-positive levels ranged from 2.7 to 867.0 ng/g, with an average ZEN-positive level being 85.0 ng/g. Of the ZEN-positive samples, 6.0% exceeded the values of the limit levels. The ZEN-positive samples were confirmed to be highly correlated using LC-MS/MS (R = 0.9794). This study could provide an efficiency and accuracy approach for ZEN in order to achieve visual and digitized on-site investigation. This significant information about the ZEN contamination levels might contribute to monitoring mycotoxin occurrence and for ensuring food safety.

The platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) has been proposed as a promising inflammatory biomarker, with potential implications for cardiovascular prognosis. However, its association with mortality outcomes in hypertensive individuals is not fully elucidated. This investigation sought to clarify the linkage between PLR and both overall and cardiovascular mortality in hypertensive individuals.

Objective: Homologous recombination deficiency assays, guiding treatment of poly (adenosine diphosphate ribose) polymerase inhibitors, are increasingly applied in clinics. This study aimed to evaluate the predictive performance of homologous recombination deficiency status at genomic and functional perspective on the efficacy of platinum-based chemotherapy in ovarian cancer.
Methods: Between 2016 and 2019, 134 patients with high-grade ovarian cancer were retrospectively analyzed.
Background: Social media has become a new channel for information exchange in recent years. WeChat official account (WOA) is now widely adopted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for successful information distribution and diffusion online. We aimed to identify features of the most popular articles pushed by WOAs of the China's CDC that are associated with article influence.

Introduction: This study aimed to assess the impact of prophylactic use of PEG-rhG-CSF on first-line immunochemotherapy in advanced NSCLC.
Methods: A cohort of patients with advanced NSCLC who received first-line immunochemotherapy at Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University between January 2019 and July 2024 was selected for this study. Patients were divided into the following two groups: a treatment group that received prophylactic PEG-rhG-CSF (≥1 cycle) 48 hours after immunochemotherapy and a control group that did not receive PEG-rhG-CSF.

Background: To estimate the global burden of pancreatic cancer in 2019 and 2021 including incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted-life-years (DALYs).
Methods: Data on pancreatic cancer incidence, mortality and DALYs were downloaded from the Global Health Data Exchange. The 95% uncertainty intervals (UIs) were reported for annual numbers and rates (per 100,000 populations).
