We reviewed B concentration kinetics in the blood and tumors in human patients administered with BPA. The B concentration in the blood peaked at the end of intravenous infusion of BPA, followed by a biphasic-decreasing curve with half-lives for the first and second components of the curve being 0.7-3.7 and 7.2-12.0 h, respectively. The mean tumor-to-blood (T/B) ratio obtained from resected tumor samples was 3.40 ± 0.83 for melanoma and the ratio ranged from 1.4 to 4.7 for glioblastoma.

Correlation between ultrasonography and elastography parameters and molecular subtypes of breast cancer in young women.

Ann Med

December 2025

Department of Ultrasonographl, Shanxi Bethune Hospital, Shanxi Academy of Medical Sciences, Third Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Tongji Shanxi Hospital, Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, China.

Objective: To explore the differences of conventional ultrasound characteristics, elastic imaging parameters and clinicopathological characteristics of distinct molecular subtypes of breast cancer in young women, and to identify imaging parameters that exhibited significant associations with each molecular subtype.

Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis encompassing 310 young women with breast cancer. Observations were made regarding the ultrasonography and elastography characteristics of the identified breast lesions.

Identification of novel BCR::ABL1 kinase domain mutation in patients with chronic myeloid leukaemia and imatinib resistance.

Malays J Pathol

December 2024

National Institutes of Health, Institute for Medical Research, Cancer Research Centre, Haematology Unit, 40170 Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Introduction: The emergence of mutations in the BCR::ABL1 kinase domain (KD) impairs imatinib mesylate (IM) binding capacity, thus contributing to IM resistance. Identification of these mutations is important for treatment decisions and precision medicine in chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) patients. Our study aims to determine the frequency of BCR::ABL1 KD mutations in CML patients with IM resistance.

Efficacy and safety of low-dose TBI combined MAC regimen for HSCT in high-risk AML patients with active disease.

Ann Med

December 2025

Department of Hematology, Affiliated Hangzhou First People's Hospital, Westlake University, School of Medicine, Hangzhou, China.

Background: The management of high-risk acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) remains challenging, highlighting the need for innovative conditioning strategies beyond current regimens.

Methods: In the present single-arm study, a FACT regimen comprised of low-dose total body irradiation (TBI) with fludarabine, cytarabine and cyclophosphamide was employed to treat cytogenetically high-risk AML patients exhibiting pre-transplant active disease. This clinical trial is registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry with the registration number ChiCTR2000035111.

Inhibiting angiogenesis with plant-derived bioactive compounds can inhibit tumour progression. Antiangiogenic potential of was analysed by preparing and analysing ethanolic extracts of by GC-MS and HPLC to identify bioactive components. In-vivo blood vessel formation assays in mice and chorioallantoic membrane assays (CAM) in eggs were employed to assess the antiangiogenic effects.

Objective: To comprehensively investigate the predictive value of thyroid hormone sensitivity parameters for cervical lymph node metastasis in patients diagnosed with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) undergoing total thyroidectomy and neck lymph node dissection.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted involving patients diagnosed with DTC and evaluated for cervical lymph node metastasis. Relevant demographic, tumour, lymph node and thyroid hormone sensitivity parameter data were extracted from medical records and laboratory reports.
